A Vintage Portmeirion Summer Strawberries Sugar Sifter, By Angharad Menna.

This lovely sifter is from the long discontinued Summer Strawberries range of Portmeirion pottery.

The sifter is complete with it's bung but does have some staining on the base and a hairline crack. Please see the photographs for more details.

Summer Strawberries

The Summer Strawberries design was launched in 1980 and was designed by Susan Williams-Ellis's daughter Angharad, who spent hours drawing and painting pictures of her mothers strawberry plants, as the inspiration for this design.
This design proved to be very popular especially with the Italian market and the design was finally retired in 1999.
