A Vintage Portmeirion Summer Strawberries 5 Inch Fruit Bowl, By Angharad Menna.

This delightful fruit bowl is from the long discontinued Summer Strawberries range.

The bowl has some minor production marks and is a slight second as shown by the scratched backstamp.

Summer Strawberries

The Summer Strawberries design was launched in 1980 and was designed by Susan Williams-Ellis's daughter Angharad, who spent hours drawing and painting pictures of her mothers strawberry plants, as the inspiration for this design.
This design proved to be very popular especially with the Italian market and the design was finally retired in 1999.
