Favorite Horsemen
Whilst researching at Pollock's Toy Museum for her Pantomime Characters design, Susan came across some more material that she used to create her Favorite Horsemen design. This was most probably destined for the American market, hence the American spelling of Favorite on the backstamp.
This design features various armoured knights, Saracens and females mounted on horseback brandishing swords and spears. Produced as a black print on various shapes of white ware in 1966, all with limited quantities made, particularly the coffee and tea ware. This is a very popular design with aficionados of the cult TV series 'The Prisoner' starring Patrick McGhoohan. Shot in Portmeirion village in 1966/67 items of this range, in particular a coffee set, can be spotted in Patrick McGhoohan's kitchen, thus making this range VERY popular with collectors.
