A Theatrical Masterpiece of Feline Form: The 'Scared Cat' silhouette is perhaps the most iconic pose in the Cool Catz range. Capturing the classic "Halloween" arch-back posture, this kitten combines playful tension with the elegant, minimalist lines that define Paul Cardew’s non-novelty work.

The Rare Harlequin Colourway: This specific piece features the Harlequin design, a bold and artistic pattern that is notoriously difficult to find. Unlike the more common floral or solid designs, the Harlequin colourway was produced in very limited numbers. Its diamond-patterned "skin" gives the piece a mid-century Italian feel, making it as much a piece of modern art as it is a ceramic collectable.

• Original Packaging: This kitten is supplied with its original Cardew presentation box. (Please note: The vintage box shows signs of shelf wear and the internal polystyrene is missing the top section, but it remains a vital piece of the item's 20-year history).

Cool Catz and Kittenz

Cool Catz and Kittenz were another amazing creation by Paul Cardew. In each set there are four differently poised felines, the larger Catz and the smaller Kittenz. Each set consists of one sitting, one stretching, one sitting with paws crossed and one in a scared pose. Paul Cardew has an incredible ability to have created the exact representation of a cat's posture in these designs. Anyone who owns a cat will know exactly what we mean! From every angle they are absolutely fabulous! The decorations on them are stunning and include either silver gilding or gold gilding using 18ct gold lustre, just to add that little extra bit of purrfection!
