OTHER TEAPOTS - Les Rayner [Silver Crane Company]
The Silver Crane Company, based in Hop Kiln Pottery, Suckley, Worcester, was founded in 1980.
Les Rayner worked there from 1980 until he left in 1990.
Les created the 50's range of teapots depicting a Motorbike Rider, referred to as 'Elvis', a Dodgem teapot featuring a young girl looking remarkably like Alice in Wonderland, hence referred to as 'Alice', and a Dragster/Hot-rod car. All these teapots are now rare items.
When Les Rayner left The Silver Crane Company in 1990, he went on to produce teapots for various other manufacturers, including Paul Cardew for Cardew Design.
